Kim Sommerhaug, NP, MSN

Dr. Sommerhaug works closely with his wife, who is also his Nurse Practitioner.

Kim started her nursing education in the Napa Valley and graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then went on to complete her Master of Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Sonoma State University.

Kim’s interest in nursing stems from being raised (with four other siblings) by parents who were both paraplegics due to polio. Kim also had a grandmother affected by breast cancer and is directly involved with Dr. Sommerhaug’s breast cancer patients and their care.

You may see her in clinic or rounding in the hospital. Kim is also Dr. Sommerhaug’s patient educator and also helps with patient care coordinating. Kim is the one you would see for a cosmetic skin care consultation.
